Today is Earth Day here in the States. Although it is not the official International Earth Day, which was celebrated on March 20th this year, the date of the Spring Equinox, who am I to pupu any event which commemorates our beautiful planet. {more}

I have struggled with this topic for quite some time because I did not want to discuss politics on my site. I justify this, however, because this is not about politics, it is about the Earth and our future. If you really care about the future of this planet and life as we know it, then it is your responsibility to do what you can to protect it. Personally, I do not believe in taking up arms or sitting around all day moaning and complaining. I believe there are plenty of things we can do in our daily lives that can make a difference, and here is a BIG one. GIVE UP YOUR CAR. I woke up this morning and realized that it has been one year since I escaped from the cube. By “cube” I am referring to that box that seems to confine one's very existence in the corporate world, a box that dulls the mind and weakens the soul, that keeps one from accomplishing great things. A couple of days ago I wrote about how I thought it would be a good idea to Write Something Everyday, well, after thinking about it some more, I also thought it would be a good idea to play music everyday. Now, I don't mean that you have to go out and buy a musical instrument if you have never played one before (although that might not be a bad idea), but I do mean that you should spend some time, everyday, to get a groove on.
