Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. ~ Bill Gates

Events > Earth Day at the Santa Monica Promenade
by Gary Isse
~ Published: 2006-04-11

Although Earth Day here in the United States is on April 22, it seems that Santa Monica just could not wait to start their celebration. Their FREE festival "will have activities for kids of all ages, 60 fascinating eco-exhibitors, and stage featuring children-oriented programming plus award-winning musicians. Also great sponsor and exhibitor opportunities to introduce your products and services to 15,000 people at the premier shopping and entertainment location in Southern California." For more information visit the Earth Day LA Web Site. And if you are looking for a more environmentally friendly way of getting to the festival, consider riding the Metro. From Union Station, you can take the Santa Monica 10 bus that leaves every thirty minutes on Saturday and arrives to within 1 block of the festival within an hour.
