A few weeks ago, Yahoo News reported on PC World’s list of the best cell phones of 2005. These are not just any cell phones mind you, these are the ones that have led the revolutions into text and instant messaging, playing music, watching TV, playing games and taking pictures, all in one easy-to-use hand-held device. Not surprisingly, Motorola’s Razr V3 and Palm’s Treo 650 topped the list and won PC World’s “World Class Award” for the year.

To make a long story short, I have taken the liberty of making a neat little list for you to review the best phone offered by each carrier for the year (not including the two phones mentioned above). Cingular Wireless:

1) Samsung P207 – Great Speech-to-text Dictation for SMS text messages
2) LG Electronics F7200 – Push to Talk Feature
3) Samsung SGH-D357 – Push to Talk Feature and Compatible with Bluetooth, EDGE network, and GSM 1800
4) BlackBerry 8700c – PDA Phone

Sprint Nextel:

1) Samsung SPH-A900 – Competes with Razr and lets you download music over airwaves to phone without a USB cable!
2) Samsung SPH-A800 – 2-megapixel camera!
3) Sanyo RL-4930 – Rugged Push to Talk phone
4) Motorola i710 and i8160 – Allow Push to Talk to Canada, some countries of Europe, parts of Mexico and Central America

T-Mobile:

1) Motorola Pebl – works in many countries in Europe Asia and Australia
2) Samsung SGH-T809 – Great camera phone with big LCD
3) Sidekick II – Built-in QWERTY keyboard and supports JavaScript in web browsing

Verizon Wireless:

1) LG Electronics The V – aka VX980 – Built-in QWERTY keyboard and support Vcast entertainment services
2) Blackberry 7130e – Works with Verizon’s fast EvDO data network and has a large screen.
3) LG VX4700, Motorola’s T300p and Kyocera KX444 all support Push to Talk but do not have cameras
