Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things. ~ Denis Diderot

Houston, We Have a Problem > Houston, We Have a Problem

This is the first entry for the new section of the web site called: Houston, We Have a Problem. This category is devoted to focusing people’s attention to the increasingly serious problem of human sustainability on this planet.

Mother Nature, God, Evolution, however you prefer to view it, has given us a home that is so perfectly designed that it can support a delicate and fragile life such as ours. It is our responsibility, not only to the planet, and us, but also to future generations, to ensure that our growth does not destroy this perfect design and ecology. If we destroy this ecology, we destroy our home, and most importantly, our life support system.

What is my goal in doing this? It is to convince as many of you as possible that we have a problem, to start looking for ways to address the issue, and act to correct it. I am sure that together we will find plenty of solutions that allow us to grow and thrive in harmony with our surroundings.
